In view of the success achieved last year, Roland is eager to announce the 4th V-Accordion Festival, the yearly gathering that accordionists and accordion lovers from all over the world may not miss.
The V-Accordion Festival is an increasingly popular event, the “only” festival fully dedicated to the digital accordion worldwide.
The national finals of the Festival will comprise only two categories: Senior soloist category (who were born before April 1st, 1990) and Young soloist category (who were born starting from April 1st, 1990)

Here are the winners of the 3rd International V-Accordion Festival!
The 1st place went to Grayson Masefield (NEW ZEALAND).
The 2nd and the 3rd place went to Xiaonan Xu (CHINA) and Nicolas Koch (FRANCE).
The final took place 21st of November in Rome in the marvellous scenario of Auditorium Parco della Musica.It was an amazing show with famous special guests.

Semi-Finalists Selected for Canadian National Finals

After four months of competition and an intense round of judging, our expert jury has determined the top three semi-finalists who will compete live at the Canadian National Finals in Mississauga, Ontario.
Le Festival s'est déroulé le 12 septembre 2009 à Buezt sur Tarn.
2 catégories de 3 accordéonistes se sont surpassés en montrant une fois de plus qu'il est très facile de passer d'un accordéon acoustique à un V-Accordéon Roland.
Dans la catégorie "Junior", il n'a pas été facile de départager le gagnant tant le niveau était élevé. Je Jury composé de Jean Corti, Ludovic Beier et Thierry Capdeville ont finalement voté pour Angel Villart(12 ans), Mathieu Barbier 2ème et Marion Lamolinairie 3ème.
Dans la catégorie des "Seniors", C'est Nicolas Koch qui s'est imposé face a Philippe Tauzies et Demis delatie.
Nicolas Koch ira donc en Finale à Rome le 20 & 21 novembre.

After only two years, the Roland V-Accordion Festival has become an anticipated event and competition in the Canadian accordion community. Roland Canada is excited to build on this tradition with the 3rd Roland V-Accordion Festival!
Since the launch of the contest on May 6th, World Accordion Day, Roland Canada has invited accordionists from across the country to submit a video of a solo accordion performance for the chance to win fantastic prizes.
The UK final of the 3rd V Accordion Festival took place on April 24th in Blackpool Lancashire. This year, the Festival ran in conjunction with the National Accordion Organisation's (NAO) championships.
The NAO is a national organisation which caters for the main body of British accordionists and numbers almost every well-known name in the accordion world among its members. In January 1950, the the NAO was officially admitted as a founder member of the Third Constitutive Assembly of the Confederation Internationale des Accordeonistes (CIA).
The 9 Junior and 7 Senior V Accordion Festival entrants played to an audience of over 150 people.

Roland Europe S.p.A. und die Roland Corporation veranstalten das dritte internationale “ROLAND V-Accordion”-Festival für Akkordeon-Solisten.
Das Festival ist in ein nationales Finale und ein internationales Finale gegliedert. Die nationale Vorausscheidung für Deutschland/Österreich wird am 26. September 2009 (Studio E in der Hamburger Laeiszhalle) sein und das internationale Finale findet am 20. & 21. November 2009 in Rom (Parco della Musica) statt.
